Flight Control System ◄ back to start A Flight Control System enables a fully automatic flight in various flight regimes for manned and unmanned aircraft. Operating a utility aircraft, especially in low level flight, can add heavy workload on the pilot. The FCS can be used as a pilot assistance for 3-dimensional navigation at manned versions. The Flight Control Systems used by STEMME are fully automatic systems - no remote operator takes the control. The FCS can be programmed to navigate along a preset flight path, new targets or flight data can be integrated at every time. Without a pilot at fully automatic flight the aircraft is operated as an UAV.   The STEMME/SAGEM Patroller utilizes a further development of the well-proven SAGEM-FCS for the smaller Sperwer Drone, operational for years in many theaters. LAPAZ is a new STEMME development in cooperation with two German universities. The first phase of development and testing has been successfully finished. At the next development stage LAPAZ will be able to accomplish automatic take off and landing. SAGEM Patroller Flight Control System Based on long time experience with operational drones SAGEM developed the FCS for the Patroller.
