SAGEM Patroller
Flight Control System
◄ back to Flight Control Systems
SAGEM has a 20 year long operational experience with
automatic Flight Control Systems for its drones in various
sizes. The Patroller-FCS is a further development of the battle
proven system for the Sperwer UAV drone.
All electronic hardware units of the FCS have a triplex
redundancy for safety reasons.
The FCS provides automatic take-off and landing for the
Patroller aircraft (ATOL).
The switch from manned mode to unmanned UAV mode (or
vice versa) is immediate and needs no modification to aircraft
or electronics.
The Patroller operational over South France for wildfire
detection and fire fighting management is flown in automatic
UAV mode with a safety-pilot on board.
Patroller test-flight with pilot
Preparation for an manned test-flight. The
right seat is occupied by the hardware of
SAGEM’s Flight Control System.
Patroller manned operation
When needed the transparent canopy can
easily be changed for a non-transparent
one in the UAV role.
Patroller unmanned
Operating as an UAV with SAGEM’s Flight
Control System.
